Thermal Overview

To meet the challenges of high-density heat dissipation and thermal management in a real-world datacenter environment, AFCO built server enclosure technology that’s fundamentally different than everything the industry has seen before. Today, there are more than 30,000 Kool-IT systems deployed worldwide.

• Airflow Management Module (AMM) provides control & reporting of thermal and power conditions with our state-of-the-art microcomputer system and multisensor architecture.
• Six 225 CFM variable speed fans automatically adjusts to varying heat loads, capable of dissipating return air back to the CRAH within critical Delta T performance requirements.
• The Base Plenum Plate with six adjustable airflow apertures was designed to provide static pressure control of the raised floor leading to airflow management that delivers cool air — when, where and in the quantity needed.
• Door Baffle System enhances thermal performance and airflow management, promoting the mix of room air with plenum air for increased heat dissipation and room balancing while preventing the short cycling of fans.
